TSTY Electric Co., Ltd. offers a high reliability photovoltaic step up substation, also known as a prefabricated substation or compact substation for solar and storage applications. This integrated power conversion and distribution unit organically combines a high voltage switchgear, a step up transformer (oil immersed or dry type), and a low voltage power distribution device, together with an optional power conversion system (PCS) and inverter interface. Designed specifically for photovoltaic power plants and battery energy storage systems (BESS), it fulfills DC to AC inversion, transformer step up (e.g., 0.69kV to 35kV), and low voltage power distribution: all in one enclosure. The complete assembly is installed in a moisture proof, rust proof, dust proof, rodent proof, fire proof, anti theft, heat insulated, fully enclosed, and movable steel structure, suitable for long term outdoor operation in harsh environments such as deserts, coastal areas, and high altitude regions. All TSTY substations are manufactured in our 250,000 square meters mart factory, backed by 30+ years of power equipment experience and certified to IEC, CE, SGS, and ISO9001.

Applications

TSTY photovoltaic step up substations are used in utility scale solar farms to convert inverter output from 0.69kV to 35kV or 66kV for grid connection.

For battery energy storage systems, they integrate bidirectional PCS with step up transformer to support peak shaving, load shifting, and frequency regulation.

In industrial and commercial projects, compact pad mounted substations enable solar self consumption, demand charge reduction, and emergency backup power.

Wind power integration uses these substations to step up turbine output from 0.69kV to 35kV or 66kV in harsh environments.
